Sources said that Turkish forces and proxy factions shelled the villages of Afdako and Kobarlik in the western countryside of Tal Abyad. No casualties were reported.

Syrian Observatory activists have monitored clashes in the early hours of Saturday morning between Turkish-backed factions and Syria Democratic Forces , on frontlines of the western countryside of Tal Abyad in northern Al-Raqqah. The clashes were accompanied by exchange of shelling, amid reports about casualties on both sides.

This shelling came after a tense calm on the frontlines of Tel Abyad for ten days. On August 22, Observatory activists monitored rocket attacks by Turkish-backed factions on SDF-controlled areas in the western countryside of Tal Abyad town, north of Al-Raqqah. No casualties were reported.
