Syrian Observatory activists have monitored clashes in the early hours of Saturday morning between Turkish-backed factions and Syria Democratic Forces , on frontlines of the western countryside of Tal Abyad in northern Al-Raqqah. The clashes were accompanied by exchange of shelling, amid reports about casualties on both sides.
This shelling came after a tense calm on the frontlines of Tel Abyad for ten days. On August 22, Observatory activists monitored rocket attacks by Turkish-backed factions on SDF-controlled areas in the western countryside of Tal Abyad town, north of Al-Raqqah. No casualties were reported.
